Earthing Cement is a special type of cement used to improve the earthing resistance values. The cement consists of a carbon particles which increase conduction.
This increases the surface area of the earth conductor and lowers the earthing resistance values.
Special compounds such as Marconite can also be used to lower the earthing resistance values.

Following are the approx. limits of the earth resistance.
These values may change with countries and applications
Power stations - 0.5 ohms EHV stations - 1.0 ohms 33 kV SS - 2 ohms DTR structures - 5 ohms Resistance of Tower Foot - 10 ohms
